Ax Isle is the easternmost island of the Basilisk Isles, which are off the northern coast of Sothoryos. To the north lies New Ghis, across the Summer Sea.
History[]
There are ruins from a possibly ancient civilisation on the island. Ax Isle also contains ruins of the black fort of Xandarro Xhore.
Some of Nymeria's ten thousand ships were attacked by corsairs from Ax Isle. Afterwards, the corsairs offered the Rhoynar to settle upon the Isle of Toads, on the condition that they give up their boats and that they send each king thirty virgin girls and pretty boys per year, but Nymeria refused.
Recent History[]
Between 356AC and 359AC, Ax Isle was ruled over by the Corsair-Queen Kalia, who took a set of blackened teeth on a field of red for her banner. She was killed by one of her captains, a man called Cregas who would become known more widely as the Ivory King.
