The Howling Mountain is one of the Basilisk Isles, which are off the northern coast of Sothoryos.
History[]
Some of Nymeria's ten thousand ships were attacked by corsairs from the Howling Mountain. Afterwards, the corsairs offered the Rhoynar to settle upon the Isle of Toads, on the condition that they give up their boats and that they'd send each king thirty virgin girls and pretty boys per year.
Recent History[]
The ports of Demon Reef, Deadman's Cay and Old Salt Bay are found on the island, but each are little more than a series of shacks and huts built upon the beach.
Between 356AC and 359AC, Howling Mountain was ruled over by the Corsair-Queen Kalia, who took a set of blackened teeth on a field of red for her banner. She was killed by one of her captains, a man called Cregas who would become known more widely as the Ivory King.
