Robb Stark, first of his name, was the first King in the North since Torrhen Stark, the King Who Knelt. Robb ruled the Kingdom of Winter from the War of the Seven Kings in 298AC until his death in 332AC.
History[]
The War of the Seven Kings[]
After the execution of his father, Eddard Stark, in King's Landing, Robb called the northern banners for vengeance. His bannermen declared the Young Wolf the King in the North, and bolstered by an alliance with Lord Frey, Robb Stark successfully bested both the Lannisters and the Ironborn in battle, winning independence for the Kingdom of Winter.
After the war had been won on both fronts, by Robb in the north and Renly in the south, the two met and agreed to split Westeros between them. Robb wed Roslin Frey in Winterfell shortly thereafter.
The Little War[]
After Robb's refusal to pay tithes to the Iron Bank for Petyr Baelish's death, the Iron Bank sent sellswords to attack the North. Robb was eventually defeated and forced to submit to the Iron Bank's terms, and died not long after from injuries sustained in the war, leaving the throne to his son, Eddard Stark, the first of his name.
