Sandglass Isle is an island found in the western aspect of the Jade Sea.
Location and Geography[]
Sandglass Isle is located south of the isle of Lesser Moraq and to the east of the much larger Hammerhead Isle, between which and Sandglass Isle the Breakfin Strait can be found.
Sandglass Isle is covered in a thick jungle filled with wildlife, trees and shrubs alike. Among the flora are tall fast-growing bush that produces cylindrical wood-like stems that is useful as a building product and has since been imported to the Empire of Yi Ti and Qarth alike.
Nomenclature[]
The name Sandglass Isle is supposedly given to the isle in recognition of a great battle that took place upon its shores. A dragonrider from the Golden Empire of the Dawn ravaged the isle so cruelly in millennia past that the very beaches of the island turned to glass, and from the waves the sands glimmered and glows for years to come.
