Sar Mell is a ruined city situated on the southern aspect of the River Rhoyne.
It falls within the territory of the Free City of Volantis.

The city of Sar Mell was ruined during the Second Spice War, in which it fought with the neighbouring Valyria town of Volon Therys. When the Valyrian dragonlords unleashed flame upon the city, they slaughtered the residents and burned the the flower gardens for which the city was famed to naught but ash.
