The Isle of Cedars is a relatively large island that defines the border between the Bay of Dragons to the north and the Gulf of Grief to the south.
Once known as the Isle of a Hundred Battles, over recent millennia it has become a more tranquil place, known for its pale-sand beaches, dense forest covering and vivid blue shallow waters.
History[]
Two cities on the Isle of Cedars, Ghozai in the north and Velos in the south, were destroyed by a tsunami triggered by the Doom of Valyria four centuries ago. The only survivors from the isle were Velosi spearmen stationed on the tallest hill and some fishermen at sea, and their descendants now reside within the various small settlements along the shoreline. There is another ruin on a small island just west of the Isle of Cedars, but its original name is as lost to the waves as its sandstone halls and towers.
Recent History[]
The Isle of Cedars served as the site of two major battles during the Ivory War - the First and Second Battles of Needle Hill, representing Tolosi-Elyrian and Astapori victories respectively.
